Tretinoin Gel 0.1 is a generic brand name for Tretinoin, derived from Vitamin A. It is used to treat acne to prevent the formation and spread of acne, pimples, and blackheads. It is also used to treat sun-damaged skin pigmentation. Tretinoin 0.1 Cream works by removing dead skin cells and increasing collagen production. Then, by plumping out the skin it leaves you with younger, brighter, more youthful-looking skin.
Tretinoin Gel 0.1 is used Also to treat sun-damaged skin, pigmentation/hyperpigmentation and Sun/Age Spots.
Tretinoin 0.1 Cream 0.1% reduces excessive oil production in the skin.
Directions
Ideally, a pea-sized application of Tretinoin 0.1 Cream at nighttime, avoiding the corners of your eyes mouth, and nose.
It is important to keep your skin hydrated and be diligent by using an SPF 50 the following morning

Step 1: Start Low

I’ve been using the 0.1% gel every other day with 0.25% cream in between. At first I was unsure about the gel, it is a very oily consistency but I persevered. I’m so happy I did!
I put it on before I go to bed and whilst it is oily it soaks into my skin really well. I should add that I have very resistant skin to harsh environments and strong products so I probably wouldn’t recommend starting on the 0.1% gel.
It is strong however after a month my skin looks better than it has in years. I suffer from very oily rosacea skin and have tried everything including oral isotretinoin. The gel is the best of both worlds as it helps limit oil production however doesn’t create any other side effects like the oral medication.
I’ve tried literally everything for my rosacea and nothing has worked until now. I wash my face each evening after work with Dermol 500 and then apply soolantra. I then apply my Tretinoin oil or cream right before bed. In the morning I wash with dermol 500 again and apply double base + sunscreen before going about my day. My skin is currently pain free and looks clearer than it has in about 4 years!
People say it takes a while to work but my fine lines have all but disappeared in about 4-6 weeks and I’m 44!
I would definitely recommend the gel however always check with your DR or Dermatologist. Im in the UK and mine was reluctant to prescribe it. They definitely wouldn’t have prescribed 0.1% so I ordered it myself.

So I don’t have acne so bought this purely to try and fight the signs of premature ageing. What I will say is read the instructions and don’t apply frequently until your skin adapts. I’m really impatient and impulsive and I used much more than a pea sized amount on night one and then repeated two nights later. My skin has been soo sore and has peeled so badly all over my face. The skin underneath is smooth and dewy but I definitely over did it and it’s been painful. It’s entirely my own fault and what I would say is follow the instructions and use sparingly and once a week to start with. I am going to continue using it but following the instructions. I can already see it is going to make a difference and will lead to dewy, fresh skin that looks younger.

I’ve been using the 0.1% gel every other day with 0.25% cream in between. At first I was unsure about the gel, it is a very oily consistency but I persevered. I’m so happy I did!
I put it on before I go to bed and whilst it is oily it soaks into my skin really well. I should add that I have very resistant skin to harsh environments and strong products so I probably wouldn’t recommend starting on the 0.1% gel.
It is strong however after a month my skin looks better than it has in years. I suffer from very oily rosacea skin and have tried everything including oral isotretinoin. The gel is the best of both worlds as it helps limit oil production however doesn’t create any other side effects like the oral medication.
I’ve tried literally everything for my rosacea and nothing has worked until now. I wash my face each evening after work with Dermol 500 and then apply soolantra. I then apply my Tretinoin oil or cream right before bed. In the morning I wash with dermol 500 again and apply double base + sunscreen before going about my day. My skin is currently pain free and looks clearer than it has in about 4 years!
People say it takes a while to work but my fine lines have all but disappeared in about 4-6 weeks and I’m 44!
I would definitely recommend the gel however always check with your DR or Dermatologist. Im in the UK and mine was reluctant to prescribe it. They definitely wouldn’t have prescribed 0.1% so I ordered it myself.
Tretinion world is a fantastic site! Super fast delivery and products exactly as described. I will be ordering some more soon without a doubt however will probably up my regime to 0.5% cream and 0.1% gel alternating days.

This is the strongest tretinoin you can get so I recommend taking it slow to give your skin a chance to get used to it. First time I applied it left it on 10 mins then washed off, for the next few days experienced some peeling that can be dealt with using a gentle scrub. Now moving on to alternate days, my skin is purging a little so is a bit blotchy but that is to be expected. Best time of year in winter to do this when we are all huddled up indoors! I am sure by spring I will have fresh younger looking skin.

I have built up tolerance to this product and use it when I can. I also use it on my body for stretchmarks, it’s helping a lot.
The only thing is that the tube is small, but that’s because I am using it for my face and body

So I don’t have acne so bought this purely to try and fight the signs of premature ageing. What I will say is read the instructions and don’t apply frequently until your skin adapts. I’m really impatient and impulsive and I used much more than a pea sized amount on night one and then repeated two nights later. My skin has been soo sore and has peeled so badly all over my face. The skin underneath is smooth and dewy but I definitely over did it and it’s been painful. It’s entirely my own fault and what I would say is follow the instructions and use sparingly and once a week to start with. I am going to continue using it but following the instructions. I can already see it is going to make a difference and will lead to dewy, fresh skin that looks younger.
